I built this three window from the poorly done Monogram "Beach Boys" Kit around 1994. Back then, everybody was saying you just couldn't do a highboy version out of these kits......Soooo, I set out to prove 'em wrong!!!! First, I cut the fenders from the frame, then after getting the look I was after, I chopped the top, and finished it. I did it curbside, using just the engine block (for the exhaust) Not to shabby for a first attempt?!!Then, I decided to get a little more serious about it, and did a roadster version. This one was a first at "aftermarket parts as well. I spent more time getting the frame cleaner, I used photoetched brake rotors, steering wheel, gauges, etc. I also used kit decals for the flames, and faded some paint from the grill to the flames with an airbrush.....A lot of firsts here!!!Check out the hand painted "Flying Eyeball"!!!!
