Very nice Don. This is my all time favorite TD kit. My earliest memory of TD kits is this one and it's stuck. Always nice seeing one brought back to life and in such a fine way. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Great save of one of the all-time greats my friend! You did one heck of a nice job on the kit. I don't think anyone would ever know it was built from gluebombs! WAY TO GO!!!

Thanks for the compliments ! It means a lot coming from you guys. As for the gallery, I'd consider it an honor for it to be in with your builds, but I can't get the settings right for Dave to post them - I'm not good with computers !
Tres, I'll try to get some closer pics of the dragon, but my camera tends to blur cloeups. I can tell you its painted with testors jade green over silver, and the lower half was painted a HOK rattlecan candy apple green pearl. His eyes are marker light amber over gloss white, and then several coats of gloss clear. I tried to make them look like snake eyes.
All I can say about wanting one is to NEVER give up the search . As I said, it took years to get and/or fix all the parts needed to build mine . Seeing the prices they go for on Ebay, I figured it was a pipedream for me to own one , yet I have less than $40.00 in this build including a small box lot that I won for less than $20.00 that contained many never been installed DW parts . If you have time to search those junk lots, you may get as lucky as I did. As a kid, I know I never would have bought this kit . I bought a Tijuana taxi back then and ruined it . This is a kit you can't build right in one or two sittings. The paint was a pain to do as well ,so I know that as a ten year old I really would have made a mess of it, and later blown it up (like my T--taxi)

His eyes are marker light amber over gloss white, and then several coats of gloss clear. I tried to make them look like snake eyes. Sounds awesome!! I was curious because in the photos it looks metallic. I bet that green over silver does have a metallic look to it. Excellent choice of colors! At the risk of telling you something you already know, check and see if your camera has a macro mode. I used to gripe about how mine couldn't take closeups, then I found the macro mode and it takes nice closeups when in that mode. Doh!

That is a really nice save Don!!! I actually had a complete DW a few years ago that I got from a friend. At the time I thought it was kinda dorky, but liked the quick change rear, so I pulled it out for another project......I have found the wheels, but can't seem to locate the rest of it (I think it went in the trash) Guess I'm the dork now!!!
