... First, I'm am absolutely blown away by the response to this humble little contest. We're gonna see some crazy builds, if the names are any indication. You are a weird and loveable bunch of klowns.
Tim and I agreed that the names of the participants and their submitted entry names will not be divulged before the end of the contest on June 30. We also would like to firmly suggest that NO in-progress shots be published, here or elsewhere, before the contest entries are unveiled at Canney's Garage. The whole idea is that everyone who entered has to wait to find out who got their name and what they did with the idea. It's all about suspense and surprise. We think this will be the most fun. Please play along with us. Not that we would (or even could, really) prevent anyone from talking or email corresponding about their projects, we do ask that none of the entries be generally known before the official contest pages are displayed.
Also, there are just four days left. I know there are more entries, sitting silent out there and will go unbuilt and invisible if not brought out into the light of day. There are still 2 "sponsorships" available for anyone who really wants in, but the entry fee is stopping you. There are also a limited number of name concepts that I have been hoarding for myself, but will gladly work up for anyone who wants in, but is holding back because they think that their ideas are just not "good" enough. We just want anyone who wants to participate to be able to.
