Okay, I know that everyone in this contest is pretty anxious and probably damn frustrated at my apparent lack of progress. I know I've been silent here, and that just compounds the frustration.
I am sorry.
I had genuinely hoped to be done with this months ago. No one is more frustrated than I am. Life seems to have conspired to keep me from any reasonable deadline. It's the same story, work, work, exhaustion, minor illness, and most aggravating of all, equipment failure. My sturdy workhorse printer has decided to eat ribbons at random, but frequent intervals. This has caused me to burn through my decal paper at an alarming rate. I have exhausted my supply, and am now waiting for UPS to bring me more. Maybe today...
On a more positive note, all the remaining art (except two) is finished, and I'm pleased with them all. I guess I could have finished sooner if I could create run-of-the-mill artwork for my decals, but I can't. So my obsessive commitment to quality has helped to grind the whole process to a halt.
The decals will be finished, and mailed out as soon as is humanly possible. After that, I still think that the builders should get at least three months to complete their entries. Since I'm not the sole responsible klown for this contest, I hope that Tim and Paul agree.
I truly regret any inconvenience my inability to carry out my part has caused. I'm hoping that once this is settled, there will be no hard feelings. I know I have none, except with myself. Bear with me, my friends, and I'll see it through. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
