I know they have been out for a while but would not pay ebay prices. And the Toys be We is 2.5 hours away so I did not get to check often....every time I'd go and ask about it they wouold say 'some guy just bought the last 4 I had' or as such. $39 is still a bit high but it is the Batmobile!!! LOL

I got one last week from a friend for 45.oo. To me it's worth it because of : A- I got to help a friend out by getting it from him instead of E-Bay
B- I will get Mr. Barris to sign it for me in July
C- I can use it for reference when I am building my Flintstone 1/24 version
They are pretty nice so ot's worth 39.oo

I have yet to see one up here, but I will get one eventually. I heard you would be able to get something called an "Elite" version for considerably more coin than $40 more like $175. I don't know what the differences would be, but I think the one you have looks great.

I got one but was bummed that there was some blemishes in the slick black paint job. Scratches and touch up spots? someone was sleeping on the job! It was new and sealed. Its nice and pretty accurate. If you look at the posted pic, it could almost pass as the real car if no one mentioned it was a die cast. Is it worth it? it is to me. A new reissued kit cost around 30 bucks these days, ten more and you got your self a big scale Bat ride. There isn't a kit in that scale. I heard there was one big scale body only one but required a lot of work to make it accurate. With a little more work one could turn the die cast into a detailed model. It has detail when you tun it over to look at the chassis, all molded in but nice. A bottom half atomic/turbine? engine can be seen. Doors open, steering wheel turns the tires, nice tires. I wonder when some one will create/mold/resin the caped crusaders for this ride? ?hint, hint! They would sell like hot cakes on Evil Bay. Laters, Chun

You can get them at your nearest Toys R Us for $30
Mattel Hot Wheels also has the 1/50 scale Batmobile for $6.+ at Walmarts now. They have the 66 Batmobile, Batbike, Animated Batmobile, Comic Book Batmobile, and the Tumbler in the series.

Marty His manager/people must have been running the line because he will not charge anything if you catch him away from them. But (as pretty much everyone else on here knows) I am setting up a model car/stuff display at Volo IL and I am sure that he will want to sign as much as he can before being drug away to sit at a table. Normally it's 10.oo if you buy one of their items. 20.oo if you have your own. That's pretty much the going rate for all of the people that show up at places like WOW www.loserscarclub.com/Little_Losers_Model_Cars.php

Dave, thanks for this post--I did not realize these were out. I'll bet that "elite" version has more goo-ga, but this one looks very good to me! Stokes old memories of stopping all activity for the neighborhood to come into our living room and watch the show.

George Barris signed a glossy for me at Viva Las Vegas a few years ago, it was $5 for the picture of the Munster Coach and I'm pretty sure he signed it for free. But then, I am Dave Kapp and that can make all the difference. Just kidding I'm really not that much more special than the rest of you guys.

George is pretty cool, when I went to Atlanta to see the Voodoo Spider George was there and Elden told him to be on the look out for me. I got my picture taken with him and he signed my Big book of Barris for me and didn't charge me anything. We got to talk for a little while, but the line was getting longer so I stepped aside. I don't agree with everything he does, but person wise he's alright.

Hey Barrisfan! So... if you're going to get George to sign it in July does that mean you'll be at the KKOA Model Kemp at the Leadsled Spectacular on July 26 in Salina, Kansas??? I sure hope so, it'd be great to have you there with the rest of us Coffin Corner Klowns! Also, George doesn't charge for autographs at the Leadsled and since he's hangin with us all for three days, there's lots of time to visit with him without big lines and show promoters treating him like he's a commodity to be sold. Guys, y'all just have to come to the Leadsled if you can!!! Where else are you gonna get to rub elbows and talk one-to-one with Darryl Starbird, George Barris, Fritz Schenck, Gene Winfield, Bill Hines, Elden Titus, Jerry Titus, Dave Stuckey, Mark Moriarity, John D'Agostino, Paul LeMat of American Grafitti, Stella Stevens the "moviestar", Jerry Weezner, M.K. John, Steve Stanford and more than I can think of right now. Check out all the latest info over on www.kcslammers.comEllis

The reason I am getting to do the Volo show is that it's 4th of July weekend so I will have time off. Plus Volo is is only 1 1/2 hours away. Sorry ;D If Salina was anywhere near Winfield or even Shawnee County, I might be able to blame it on work but I doubt that will happen. Take LOTS of pictures. We need to have a Midwest meet somewhere near either IL or WI. There's a bunch of us up here ;D
