heck it's not even a Mustang, but for my new daily driver it ain't bad at 1/3 the price of my Nova.... New job... new car, right? 2007 Pontiac G5 GT. And no, I won't be sleeping on the couch like Paul did! Funny thing is, we went to trade in our 2005 Pontiac Vibe on a 2007 Vibe and found out this one gets almost as good gas mileage and was a measly 500 clams more. Now I don't work for NASA, but THAT was a no brainer. AND, no Paul, it's NOT P!SS Yellow.... it's Tony Nancy Yellow!

not the fuel economy, not the price, not the acceleration, not the colour, not the stereo...how many models can it hold?

Well, I'm guessing A-LOT of models! it has a really small trunk lid but when you open it up the trunk area is HUGE. Actually not a bad little car. 32MPG hi-way, XM radio/7 speaker sound system/6 CD changer (with accessory input for my Ipod), 2.4 Liter Ecotec DOHC variable valve timing 4 banger cranking out 173 horses (the 2.2 puts out 140 HP), GT suspension package, full gauge treatment, alloy wheels, ANNNNND my wife still loves me. Actually, she was more excited about it than I was. She convinced me to get it by telling me I deserved it for all I had done in the last 3 1/2 years to keep coin rolling into the household. How could I argue with THAT kind of logic? not the fuel economy, not the price, not the acceleration, not the colour, not the stereo...how many models can it hold?

steve, that car is pretty damm cool. have you done anything to it yet ?...lol take my advice, spend the money and add a k&n air filter. for about $30.00, you will notice the difference in fuel mileage, and in the seat of your pants. i added a k&n to my cavalier, and it made a HUGE difference. this is just the drop in replacement filter. you could go the extra mile and add the k&n cold air induction set up, but that will set you back about $250.00...but it's guranteed to add 10 horses. i couldn't see $250.00 for 10 extra horses...if i wanted to add more horses for $250.00, i'd just throw a nitrous kit on it, and get an extra 75-100 out of it. but really, the drop in k&n air filters make a world of difference.

I like it. It certainly is better looking than the stillborn GTO was.

Speaking of GTOs, I've used a new program to create a web site for my Milwaukee GTO club. We were one of the few chapters left in the country with no web site: www.originalgto.comFor the record, the new tool I used is called "Rapidweaver" by RealMac software. It's amazing. I did this site in 1/3 of the time I'd normally do one in Dreamweaver. Of course, it's limited in features, but for "basic" sites like this, it's fantastically easy to both create and maintain.
