Just checking in now that things are settling down a bit..... bottom line, I was offered a chance to telecommute with the Goodguys and took them up on it. Moved back to northeast Georgia where I grew up with my girlfriend (also from GA..) and am getting settled in the new digs. Rent money will get you waaaay more space in GA than CA. Gas is cheaper, food, all that stuff. So I'm now flying out of the Atlanta airport to cover the GG shows and just finished three in a row. I have two weekends at home and then on the road for two.. we had to move during a gap in the schedule..... Here's some pictures and stuff about the trip: blog.cardomain.com/blog/2008/08/cross-country-m.htmlI hooked a U-haul to the Blue Goose and had a blast..... I love driving long distances.... Anyhoo... I'll try and pop in more and as soon as I get my models unpacked I will get on my Cobweb entries. ~Brandon.

Oh yeah, Brandon is on the right coast now. Getting closer. Does this mean you may be making any trips up north to the swap meets Brandon? If you venture into PA for anything drop me a note.
Glad to see you made the trip safe, I can't imagine doing it but if I had to, I'd want to do it in some sort of hot rod.

Now you have me missing my 1970 Plymouth Sport Satellite (but only a little ;D My Pinto(s) get more attention ) A CB is a must if you have to only travel out of state. My 50.oo investment has saved my tail more than once. Plus you really gain a lot of respect for those OTR guys and gals. When I have to go down to GA and MO, I keep my mic on my lap and the volume just loud enough to hear any bear reports. If you make it to the Midwest with GoodGuys, let me know. I used to run their model car contest for the Great Lakes Nationals in Waukesha WI but stopped when they moved to Madison. However, they must have given me a lifetime membership because I still get the Gazzette and membership card.

Now that your closer to me, does this mean they will send you down to cover the Daytona Turkey Rod Run? Or Billetproof in Ocala? I hope so! Look forward to getting to meet you in person! Gimme' a call sometime soon! Timbo
