Someone on the board mentioned doing custom decals. I can't remember who it was.
I am building a Grid Iron Grabber for my son. I am using his team colors etc. I need some custom decals (simple design) for the helmet.
PM me with some information. Thanks in advance!

i don't mean to hijack but, i to am looking for some simple words made for a model of my 1-1 race car. i can't seem to find anybody that can and will do them. i went to a decal place today and he said he could make them in vinyl, which would be ok but, they lose alot of detail in that medium. the price wasn't all that bad, 15 bucks. i would pay whatever anybody would want for them as it is the name of the car and the model just doesn't look finished without them. pm me if anyone is interested.

I could do them guys,..but really all you need is a Testors decal kit if you have a printer.(for the sheets and spray bonder,...the software is crap but is good for lettering as Gary had asked about). It's like 8-9 dollars. Ken said he might be making them....and there are some helpful hints here on how to make them yourself: coffincorner.proboards89.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=7435

I have seen the Testors kit, but I do not have a printer, except at work. The logo is pretty simple, just some letters.

OK Bert....but are you going to paint the helmet a color? Reason being is that I would print them on a white background paper and I can adjust the background color and or leave it white. PM me the specifics.
Chuck & Paul...PM's sent

I bought one of those Testor kits but have yet to use it. Afraid it will screw up my printer. Do they work without major problems? I used to have a machine that would print on clear plastic for overhead projectors. Same principal?
Thanks,

They (the decal paper) will not harm your printer. Just like printing out regular thicker stock paper. Like I said, the soft ware is limited....but if you know how to resize images and have a little savvy in using you printer settings(image location, sheet settings, dpi settings,...and a little trial and error..it'll do the job for some applications.

Kool discussion, I've been designing up some decals and I was looking for some decal paper I could put through my ink jet. Testor 'design' package is truely limiting. It is for me anyways. I'm down with Adobe PS & Illy (Photoshop and Illustrator) and Corel too. I use them on a daily basis. I wouldn't mind doing some custom decals designs for y'all. It would give me some experience in the Kustom model medium which I would like to get. PM me if you want some designs done. I can do most anykind of look/aesthetic from the grunge distress to a slick gradients of chrome and fire etc.. Below are just two of the hundreds of graphics I've done. Farm American was done for Farm Aid '07 and the other siler chrome thing is a logo for Japanese artist... ...you could also shoot me an email: neil@graphicdeclaration.com
