You can also try brake fluid, but I like SuperClean the best.

I like Polly-S easy lift off better than brake fluid. More expensive but works quicker, is more gentle on the plastic & will remove all that old putty under Dean's paint.
Shame about this Dean but you'll need to get some at Micro Mark & get some .040 plastic rod to use as fender welt... I'd paint the entire body blue & have the roof & tonnue cover flat white or powder blue for contrast... In any case good luck..!Hizoot

Yep.. you're tight Paul a disaster it was ! .. I mostly use Castrol Super De-greaser or Wal-Marts "Purple Power" .. when that doesn't work I use Hizoots recommendation .. "EasyLiftOff" (E.L.O.) by Polly "S" found in most train departments .. when that doesn't work my last resort which was used on the Levacar was the Bead Blaster in my rod shop using low pressure, my lucky coin in my pocket, and really low air pressure .. I've also tried the really stinky Easy-Off oven cleaner .. man does it stink ! ....WHEW !! As always read the label of your product, use in well ventilated area and wear eye protection and gloves ..
