Wouldn't worry about it - gives the mag it's character - just my .01 cents cdn.

Well most anything will ruin it.. You can try a hair dryer on it and see if that will loosen up the glue.. but something that old the glue will more than likely be to old for that to work. Sometimes they are brittle and will come right off.. but not sure I would chance it.. It might rip tear or Even pull the image off with it

I've Had to do that a few times. Get yourself some grease & wax remover ( local body shop supply place), Get a small rag wet with it ( not tooooo wet...), lay it on the sticker for a few minutes, and SLOWLY peel it off ! Sometimes it may take 2-3 times. then do the same with the remaining glue residue ~~~~~~~~~BUT ! don't rub too hard on it, it may move the ink. Let the chemical do the werk ! I've done that to a few model boxes that someone put a "Garage Sale" stiker on it, and they came right off ! Also, use the remaining grease & wax remover to prep a model 'CLEAN' before priming/painting. Put it on....wipe it off !! Good luck..................... ~Dean~
