I do custom decal art or recreate decal images from kits..I do not print the decals I just render the images and send them back to you. You decide where and how to print...In nearly all cases I can create better images than the originals not just touchups but new art. If you have a beatiiful show rod or any other model that needs the extra quality decal image I'm the guy...I will not leave you unsatisfied. Many years on the digital airbrush here....
pm me and we can go further

Very interesting Art. Do you require originals or do you have a fairly good stock pile to work from? The reason I ask is I have been looking for a set for the Snake and Mongoose Funny Car set (the yellow 'Cuda and red Duster Hot Wheels versions) My other question would be maybe if you do have a stock pile you could post a list herein? Art, you pose an interesting idea. While I also do artwork and decal work, I have been bogged down lately and have not been able to create all the artwork I want for builders. I do have access to various printing methods including Alps and silkscreen. If people want to get reprints of decals, you can do the art, send it to me, and I'll get them printed. E-mail me and we can work out the details as they need to be set-up in specific layers to print correctly.
Gerry - I have not recreated the Snake and Mongoose funny cars yet (though I do have a set of the originals). I just finished a corrected version of the Snake and Mongoose dragster decals to be used with the Model King reissue. I'll have to take a look at the funny cars and see what's involved.

Are these available anywhere or did you do them just for yourself? I'm interested in these as the only thing I could find were those old Billy Gooche style and those aren't that great. Kind of washed out look.

Kind of washed out look. AJ, exactly what I noticed. Those Billy Gooche Snake/Mongoose rail decals look great on the Snakes white body(blue decal applied) but with the Mongoose blue body, the white decals were too transparent (should have done a white undercoat or something ) but if you other guys, Art & Don, get together on this keep us posted, like I said earlier very interesting. ;D Gerry G

Sorry gents I don't have that monster stockpile of decals...... what I can offer though is the ability to recreate and/or create a decal from scratch. I've render more 70's era funny car decals than any other decal artist. This was mostly out of necessity due to a serious lack of decals to build a semi complete collection of 1/16 cars from that era. Almost two solid years time of decal art on the computer. Unfortunately I've only started from 1972 forward. The 1970 red/ yellow Mongoo$e and Snake were not ones I rendered because they were not available in 1/16 (my genre for resin bodies),. To the gent that wanted a set of those, your best bet would be to have an original set like the fellow above has scanned in color corrected in photoshop and reprinted on an Alps. If you would like for me to do the the corrective/touchup work...let me know. Mr. Donut pm me...lets get together maybe we can help this guy out and others...Unquestionably the Alps is the correct way to fly.

Would you happen to have the art work for Tom Daniels 1/12 MEAN MAVRICK ? Thanks Don Hey Don, Another member was working on this last November. I'll get you some information once he replies to me. I will say that he was planning on scaling down to 1/25th but maybe they can be scaled up to 1/12th again. I know if we could get them made I'd like to get a set in 1/12th. I have a restoration that needs decals too. A.J.

Roger - as I mentioned in the wanted area, I can print on the two Alps printers I have and produce the gold foil you are looking for. If you can provide me with a good scan (I would prefer 600dpi jpeg), I will reproduce the first set for you for free. I will redraw the decals from the scan.
Art - You wouldn't happen to have the Super Brut or the Pepsi Challenger by any chance? I was asked to reproduce them and am about half done, but if you already have the artwork done, we could work out a deal. It is for the founders of the Good Stuff, who produced some of the best Funny Car resin bodies ever.

If you search the "other" forum, there is a post for the 1/12 scale Mean Maverick that a person recreated the decals in 1/12 scale and printed them on an Alps. He did a fantastic job and the car looks great. Just an FYI.

I still have my original 12th scale high res. files that I used when I had my ALPS .. but no ALPS in the house anymore ... about 8 years ago I sold off a complete copy of all my artwork to a fella down south .. Do you have a link to the "other" post on the "other" forum ? Starry

I did a google Chuck and found that to be here at Scale Auto Mag cs.scaleautomag.com/scacs/forums/p/46786/515066.aspxThat takes you to page 2. Unfortunately it looks like the builder is in Japan. If you are wondering about the decals, they should be available at some point here now. Tory has what he needed now. So we'll see soon.

Chuck, what color did you paint the body? Is the kit finished? And do you have any overall shots of the build? It's one of my favorite TD kits for sure. I like to see them nicely built up.
