Well that's not going to happen this time as the weather forecast is bleak... No big deal for me but I think Steve Hammann is out here & I doubt he's too happy about it...
As for myself, I only lost $10.00 in parking & the only cars I got to see run were the Force girls (Brit & Cort) both had staging problems... The good news is I met up with several old friends & made a couple new one's like Dave (Diely???) & his wife who own & drive this little car; You just never know who you'll meet in Pomona..!Hizoot

Hey Hizoot, I have ticket for Saturday, what should I do? ? My best advice is to log onto www.NHRA.com tomorrow as they will give hourly reports on weather & track conditions. I doubt they will run at all until next week.
Your ticket, even a discounted one, will be good at that time, no worries there... Try to attend next Sat. & I'll see ya there..!Hizoot

What a drag for the spectators. Does anyone else get the feeling that the NHRA is becoming as lame as NASCAR? Nascar has their crappy "car of tomorrow" and now the NHRA fuel classes are forced to run 1000ft. I love drag racing and it saddens me to see the direction it's heading. Just my opinion.

I understand your point & I'm not fond of 1000 ft. either..! But you need to remember that NHRA hopes they can fix it so they can go back to 1320... Just like our new pres. Obama, I'm going to give NHRA a chance to fix things first... Sure it takes time,,, because it's a big problem when you stop I think about it.
I do agree NHRA is headed in a very questionable direction BUT they have a long way to go to be as screwed up as NASCAR !Hizoot PS - Only one round of pro qualifying today & the race starts on that alone tomorrow. You see rain sucks too..!

Well I went today (Sat) and spent a bunch of money to see one round. I had to go as the ticket was prepaid and the NHRA web site said they were runnin. There must of been at least 5 or six runs that were the fastest ever. Each one dropping down untill the 3.7 run at 24 mph LOL. (the traps were not exactly working LOL) Bummed about not getting to see much but I got to enjoy a sunny California downpour under the stands LOL. The local weather report is kinda sketchy for Sunday too.

You see rain sucks too..! I think the 1000ft. thing is like a "temporary tax". Once it's there, they'll never get rid of it. I used to go to Indy every Labor Day weekend but I'm seriously considering going to GLD in beautiful Union Grove,WI. for the Time Machine Nationals this year. I agree with your NASCAR statement, but they're (NHRA) on the way.

You could be right about the temporary tax thing but we as fans need to keep NHRA on it's toes about that... I can't blame you for going to GLD in WI. These nostalgia events have become extremely popular & there's a reason for that. NHRA has noticed that they could take a HUGE leap forward by taking a small step back...Hizoot
