Rumor has it that the Ghoul Duo (Munster Koach/Dragula Combo Tin) Has been pushed back to Dec. ! That doesn't mean it's "Dead" (pun intended), just delayed . There's lots of great stuff comin' down the pike, it's just gonna take some time . Patients fellow Klowns, patients . "Paulie"

While AMT's John and Tom are leading the pack in the showrod dept....Revell has noted the sales and is working on a number of tings too. We just need to buy the kits to keep them coming. I bought 12 Stogie kits....I had a bunch of ideas and to use with my Hot Dogger conversion kit.

I picked up a copy of February's Scale Auto magazine this week.It had an ad on page 8 for the Munster Koach/Dragula,as well as te "TV Tommy" Ivo dragster kit from AMT.It also said to contact your local dealer for release details. That usually means that the release is not too far off. I know Skulldude works at a hobby shop.Maybe he can enlighten us more thru his boss's "inside" information. Todd ;D

this is great !! i see thet the depth charger is on the slate as well. One thing that aj pointed out to me is that the lil stogie kits seemed to have dried up. Seems liek maybe they didn;t make enough of them or something. There are very few on e-bay, and the ones that are on there are quite expensive ($30.00 on average). Glad i got mine when i did. I really hope they unleash some more cool showrod kits soon. I can't wait for the graveyard duo kits...i'm gonna buy a few of those if i can.

Not to speak for John and Tom (AMT/round2) but from what I understand AMT will produce the number of kits pre-ordered by retailers and no more. This keeps AMT from warehousing a bunch of kits which cost money. It's pretty much the same marketing that the model railroad companies have used for a number of years. And if there is not enough pre-orders a item can be canceled. Lil Stogie drying up is a result of a few things. AMT picked a great first showrod....one with a wide appeal, never been reissued at a price that made it easy to buy more than one. I feel the John and Tom era of AMT will almost rival the AMT of the 60's!

I heard about the new released kits. There was talk here about them. I also read it on the Tom Daniels site. Some of his were to be released.....Rommel's Rod, Tijuana Taxi, and one of my favorites the Dragon Wagon, I think there may have been a couple more.
I wonder if any of those will be ready for purchase at NNL East?

Davevan makes an excellent point . Keep pumpin' those pre orders in so corporate knows where the interest lies . As for release dates , LIS, patients fellow Klowns ;D. Let's not rush a good thing. We wouldn't want another batch of warped Diggers would we ? The price complaints have me a little baffled . Gas isn't 37 cents a gallon any more, milk isn't 69 cents a gallon any more, a 25 cent candy bar is now $2.50 (a 1,000 % increase) and most of you are BUYING bottled water for $2 a litre ! Not to mention, these kits were untouchable for $50 - $150 only a few months ago ! I, for one, count myself lucky to be able to pick these classics up (MISB) for anything less than $40 . As mentioned earlier & elswhere, in other threads, doing the preorder assures you will snag them for considerably less ;D ;D ;D! So, like Davevan said, preorder as many as you can, as often as you can and if you can find a preorder for $2.50 less somewhere, go out and buy yourself a candy bar or bottle of water ;D ;D ;D!!! My $2.50 "Paulie"

Preorder and be sure to get as many as you want, before they're gone- we're lucky to be getting these repops at all!

One thing to keep in mind, the Munster Koach/Dragula issue in a tin may be aimed for the Christmas market. I'm not a huge fan of the kits in tin cans, but I have to admit they probably look better under the tree then a plain old kit box. For the non-modeling public buying presents, that could be a real enticement for them to lay their money down. Now if I could only get my family/friends to buy kits for presents, they're cheap and one size fits all!

excuse my ignorance about this but, where do you preorder from? if it's my local hobby store, it would be a waste of time. they don't carry anything.

Online stores usually I think.
Here in the UK, nobody exports kits from US, many hobby stores have closed, (don't carry showrods at all).
Hobby Heaven seem to be popular.
