Hi Guys just got my hands on a Testors Super van. I remember when IMC put this kit out it was called the Love Machine, The one thing I don't remember is what the decals look like for the Love Machine, were they just red dots or some thing like that! anyway if anyone out there can tell me what they look like that would be great, one more thing anyone got a photo of the IMC box. TIA

I have a picture somewhere of the IMC box but the real van was painted pink. George confirmed that for me last year.
If you want to sell the kit, let me know ;D I want to do a Back to the Future transporter. It was painted green and was shown in a background shot before it was fully restored on CCR

I need to correct myself. When the van FIRST came out, it was pink and was on the show circuit for a yeat . It was then painted yellow and that's what's on the IMC box. I just looked at the pictures ;D Basically its the Supervan painted yellow with Cragar wheels

Here are some photos I took at our show a few years ago. It was restored at a shop north of Toronto where they filmed CCR (not the musical group) public.fotki.com/HowardCohen/supervan/I also picked up a Testors kit a while ago, molded in orange. The unusual thing about the box is the lack of logos from Testors.

Here's the "Supervan" in action! How'd they do that? It's all done with lazers!
A trailer for the movie in German, there's only a few words I understand, doesn't matter, it's a riot!

Brilliant stuff there. You just have to look at the film quality to see that its from the 70s. It would have made it for me if they played Yakity Sax (Benny Hill Theme)/during the chase scene.

If you can get your hands on a 1971 Hot Rod Show World, on pages 62-63 has the build story and lay out. It shows two pictures of the van in different stages, and the complete project.
The van rollled out of the shop first painted lemon lime pearl and candy tangerine, with orange crush velvet upholstery. The drivers compartment was done in black patent leather.
The body body as stated was in lemon lime pearl with candy tangerine fogged along the bottom and around the fender wells, with tangerine lace from the side of the ribs and over the top. This is (to me) is the better version)
I wish I could scan the pictures for you, and send them to you.
I think Georgey's cheese has slipped a little. He did (this time) actually have something to do with this ride. Hope this helps.
