last summer John Verkerk offered to cast some headllight lenses
for my deals wheels van. i sent him one to use as a mold. weeks went by, and we both pretty much gave up on it. last night i get a very beat up box in the mail. one side held together with scotch tape, torn up stickers all over it and pretty much crushed. my package came back to me nearly 6 months later ! I checked Johns address and it was correct, so what happened and why did it take 6 months to come back ? you gotta love the postal service. maybe my hornet model i got from a guy from australia will come to me. its only been two years !

DON"T EVEN get me started about the postal lack of service department.My grandfather is a retired postmaster and he retired about twenty years ago and he tells me all the time,it isn't what it USED TO BE!!! No SH!T,Better off trying to send it thur UPS or Fed EX.....................Chief

Probably depends on where you live ... I prefer the USPS where I am, as usually the packages arrive in great shape. UPS, on the other hand, delivers boxes that look like a rope was tied around the box and dragged behind a truck from Chicago to Mpls, and then after the contestants on "America's Biggest Losers" have had a turn falling on it.

I sent a package to australia 3 mnths ago and when it got there it had been run over by the delivery driver.... they claimed it wasnt their problem and wont pay for the damage.
Both the Ice T and 32 coupe were destroyed and they got nothing but some of the smallest parts out of it . This is the first package Ive had thats been damagaed to this extent.
Rain ,sleet , snow or bad driving .... as long as the package makes it to it final destination ... at some time and in any condition.... what do they care....
I'm almost afaraid to see what maybe come of the Parts box ..... On wait its been emptied and sent to Dan .... I guess they cant damage a empty box ..... or can they ....

I sent 3 ebay boxes to australia in december and all 3 are missing according to the buyers demanding their money back
I haven't heard from Joe that his box ever arrived that went out in December.
I dont sell to Oz no more. fvck oz, fvck Apple and fvck Bono

I to have horror stories about the Postal service..

In cases like this I simply utter the catchphrase, "TOP men...", quoted from the first Indiana Jones movie when Jones asks who the gov't got to analyze the Ark (which of course has been boxed up and put into the secret gov't storage facility...)

I've heard everything over the years! I would meet people and they would ask me, is it true (about postal workers going nuts and shooting up the place) and I would just make a crazy face and tell them "ww-w-eell, ah-er, I'm feelin' a bit twitchy today!"
My mother-in-law would tell me, "my mail didn't come 'til after 5 today!" and I would tell her "@%#@%!!! I told him not to give it to you at all!"
