I got the "L.A. Dart" Kit a while back, I was super disappointed with this kit, It did however have four super nice Crager SS wheels 1/25th though. The vending machine has a set of really nice wheels, similar to Cragers also 1/25th. Raiders coach has wheels that are very nice & very close to Crager SS, (six of them) I don't know what scale the Raiders Coach is cause I traded mine away, ...but I kept those wheels !! Raiders Coach is a great kit for Kool parts. There are also a similar Crager SS wheel on the Eldon/Doyusha showcars, but again 1/25th scale !! You know after reading this post, I took a look at my entire collection looking for 1/24 scale Cragers & I couldn't find a one !! (sorry)
The Crager SS is my favorite wheel of all time, & when it comes to my model cars it is my most prized wheel.

Also in 1997 MRC company made the "Muscle Car Hop-up Set" of tires and wheels The #BB100 set came with Cragar S/S wheels and Mickey Thompson Indy Profile Tires / # BB102 came with Cragar S/S wheels and Firestone Wide Oval Tires / #BB103 came with the Keystone Klassic Wheels with Firestone Wide Ovals / #BB105 With Keystone Klassic Wheels w/Goodyear Polyglass GT Tires / #BB106 Crager S/S rims/wheels and 4 Goodyear Polyglas GT tires... according to the information on the box is says "This Hop-Up Kit includes a variety of adapters to allow installation to most plastic model car kits in either 1/24th or 1/25th scale"

Correct spelling is "which". We have spellcheck here. LOL! The Cragar wheel kit from MRC is really good, and you can still find them pretty easily. They also come with adapters to fit just about any application!

Bill's right about the 1/24 Monogram ElCamino, it does have a set of deep, and deeper Cragar's that look great. AMT has done several kits with Cragar's with the detailed Cragar S/S center caps.

My favorite source is the Mummy Machine. I can't count how many I have picked up for cheap over the years. (Still haven't built one.)

Al...what was the issue with LA Dart?? The L.A. Darts are okay for front rims. They give you these big, fat slicks and these shallow, 15x6-looking rear rims... Gag.

Find a Beverly Hillbillies reissue, the Hot Rod version parts include a set of rims that might not exactly be Cragar, but are real close. Gerry G

I agree with you Brandon, about the rear wheels on the LA Dart, They really should be deep dish to be proportionate with the tires. One thing you can do with a wheel like those shallow Cragers, -and this is what I do, when I want deep-dish wheels is: Grind down the face of the wheel and Find a deep dish ring, like perhaps a inner half -from the junkbox, and glue that to the face of the wheel you wish to make deep-dish. I recently did this to two of those "LA Dart" wheels using the inner halves from "Lil Stogie" & presto, super deep-dish Cragers !!
....And to address the issue I have with the "LA Dart" : I remember wanting it when I was a little kid, So when the the re-issue came out, I picked one up. I paid $28.00 for this thing and after I opened it & checked it out, I was disappointed because of the lack of detail & poor fit of parts. It just seemed so cheap & toy like, ...and for $28.00 ?? (Suck) I gave my "LA Dart" away !! However I must say the photograph of the real car on the box cover looks really Kool ! .....A short story - When I was a kid I got to pick out a model, and I remember I narrowed it down to either the "LA Dart" -or- the "original" Ohio George 33 Willys Malco gasser. I chose the Willys !! That was such a Kool kit !! that was 1973..... ahh the memories !! LOL !!
-by the way Tim, LOVE that "Trantula" Vandal !!!
