...with a 12v portable "swamp cooler"!! ;D ;D While cleaning out my Mom's house getting it ready to sell, I found this: It has a 12v lighter plug that looks like it is made of bakelite. There are 4 adjustable legs. It looks like it was made to sit on the driveshaft hump. In case you don't know what a swamp cooler is, you fill it with water and there is a fan that blows over the top of the water to cool you down. They work best in dry climates. We had one that hung out the front passenger side window....the round one that you see on some low riders today. The forward motion of the car made a fan blade turn and spin a sponge the rotated trough the water...cooling the car. We lived in LA so it worked ok but only on the highway.....stopped the car got hot fast! When the water level got low there was a cord you could pull to release more water.....but it always splashed out on you....but in the Mojave you did not mind! I wish we still had it today but when we moved to NC needless to say it really did not work and Dad tossed it!

i had a 67 plymouth fury that had once been a taxi it had an a/c unit on the roof and the control panel mounted on the trans hump under the dash really huge but it worked really well in these hot humid new orleans summers.
