I bought this in the hopes that if enough were sold they would reissue the Bugaboo. The frame was tweaked, but not too badly. I bought some HOK copper to green flip spray paint, and tried it out on this build. You can't see it too well, but the color does change in the light. The bad part is that I noticed the paint job developed cracks many months after the kit was done. I don't know if its the paint or not, its never happened to me before.

It looks great!!
Do you fine sand the body before you paint?
I did this re-pop and sanded off all the body molding first. The paint hasn't cracked......yet.

yep, I did sand the body to remove the mold marks . It was painted the same way I paint all my kits, it wasn't until the paint should have long been dry that it developed the cracks. I thought it may have been the paint as I never used that kind before, but it seems Ramone had the same problem with the Stingaree. I really have no clue why it cracked.

It looks great Don! It would really be cool to see something like this going down the track, or better yet against the Bugaboo in an exhibition run. ;D ;D Yeah! that's the ticket.
Take it outside and shoot some pis of the flip flop paint.

It looks great, Don! ;D ;D ;D You should shoot a few pictures with better lighting, or outdoors, so you can see the great color effects. The cracks could occur if: - the colors do not tolerate each other - when the second color is applied before the first is dry - if the second dries faster than the first - if the colors dissolve the surface of the object As I said, it need not be the case, it is only my experience...
