Never had any real problem with any kit, but one of the most tricky ones to build (at age 12 or 13) was the chassie on the 26 Buttera Model T Sedan.

Awesome build!
I've got plans for mine as well. Since the front part of the body is a really old "barndoor VW" I'll go for that "theme" and re-do the rear part tp match up w the front!

Thanks Paul. To bad one can't see that the "flake" actually sparkles in red, green and gold in sunlight! I tried to take pictures in the sun, but somehow it still doesn't show in a picture....

LOL! Thanks for the kind words, unique it is.... and paint looks like crap unless your 10' away but I had a lot of fun building it and it's meant to be kind of a "test-mule" for coming builds!

SInce I'm not really "specialized" about my hobby, I build whatever I like, and not only showrods. This winter I took part in a 5 week modelcar-challenge where You're only allowed to use the engine and the wheels from other kits/aftermarket packs. Any other alterations must be done using whats in the original kit-box or using plastic card, styrene rods or household items. Everyone taking part in the challenge get the same kit to start with. No-one knows what kit it'll be until the day we collect the kit from the organizer. We then have exactly 5 weeks to build the kit. This time we were 42 participants and 37 of us kept the timeframe! I just took a chance, and decided on wheels and style for my build already BEFORE I knew what car it'd be !!!!!! I had som really nice gold spoke lowrider wheels in my stash along with goldline tires...... I was kind of relieved when I saw the Camaro ! Then I went home and sat by the PC for a few hours getting inspiration. A lowrider i more show than go, so I decided to throw away tha Bigblock V8 and put an old inline 6 w twin Weber carbs under the hood. just to make mine a little different from the others , I also rebuilt the front to the low mounted parking lights and then cut away the whole roof section over the doors, but I didn't want it to look like some Porsche Targa "wannabe"....So, i made a whole new "see thru" roof section in clear blue plastic, and also used the same blue plastic for the rear window. I even put some clear blue, but patterned, plastic in the major part of the hood to expose the engine!!!! (Then I kind of cheated , and used a spare hood to remain stock so I can choose between the 2 whenever wanted). Interiorwise I scratchbuilt a console between the seats which also works as support for a DVD screen for the passengers in the rear. In the dash I made a"mirrored" shelf with 4 glasses and an etched flask (all scratched using clear sprue). I also used 24 VERY VERY SMALL parts of plastic card and clear sprue to scratchbuild a chrystal chandalier for the ceiling. Finally I scratchbuilt a "chain steering wheel" using plastic card and a crimped silver thread. I was really pressed by the narrow timeframe so I don't think I used more than about 70 hours to build this. The paint is really bad and looks best from a 10' distance LOL!
