I couldn't let this one sit in the box any longer since Ive always wanted to build a large scale model and picked this up on Sunday. So far all that I did was remove the rear wheel wells and notch the frame. To get the front down like the back, I am going to make the A arms functional by using tubing and pins. If I go any lower I will have to raise the tranny tunnel. All this stuff seems like a cake walk on a 1:12.... Im beginning to like large scale haha. This is as far as I got tonight

Ha ha ha, nice start Jay, that is looking really wicked for sure. I have one of these as well but I never mentioned it before because it's been stashed for awhile. I hate when you do stuff like this because it distracts me from what I am trying to build...ha ha! All that chatting about it on the way home from the show made me really want to build mine like the '57 in Hollywood Knights. I'll wait for you to get further and inspire me more. Lookin' good though! Really cool. You'll have to find one of the Nomad's in that scale once you have that one finished. Oh yeah, you didn't know that did you. There is a Nomad counter part to that kit...ha ha!

Really I know there is a 1/16 scale , but a 1/12 ?? who makes it ? Oops, looks like you've corrected me Don. I was thinking of the 1/16th scale series. I have the '55 Belaire as well as a couple of the convertibles. I don't have the Nomad. For some reason I was thinking that they were the same scale as that one. Looks like I learned something new today...ha ha!

I took the time tonight to cut the front suspension apart and make it adjustable. Its all roughed in so now I need to do some smoothing and filling the make it look nice. The way it sits in the pics will be the ride height once its finished. As of right now its laying crossmember and frame. Layin Frame Adjustable!

Thanks Rob. Its a blower but the kit comes with a tunnel ram setup and also factory fuel injection. You can actually get them on ebay rather cheap.

Havent touched it in a while but strangely enough I took it out of retirement last week and its currently sitting on the work bench. Just trying to figure out some custom elements for it and possibly a wicked fuel injection setup for on top of the blower.
