I'm pretty sure that lump was unique to the Hillbillies car, but there's a load of other kits with Oldsmobile engines in them (most are more accurate than the Hillbillies kit as well); Beatnick Bandit, SWC Willys, Anglia gasser etc.
That very trick transmission set up doesn't come with the Hillbillies car, that's down to Dawie's building skills!

I was going to say the same thing that I've never seen the tranny setup before unless it was on a build that has slipped my mind. I'd guess by Harley's comment that it was something from Dawie as well.

Just thinking about it (and not wishing to take anything away from Dawie) that transmission could have come from a Johan Olds Torando - being front wheel drive - but as I've never seen one I can't be sure.

no, i'm pretty sure that dawie scratch built that trans set up. i seen to recall that he did this slanted engine . transaxle set up for a build that he was doing.
the pic that zinger posted is a cut & paste pic from that build. the hillbilly motor is no where near that detailed. the hillbilly hot rod motor is also in the jollyroger, but it's just a square lump of plastic with no detail.

It was Dawie and unless he's moved recently he's in South Africa. I think it was his birthday yesterday, maybe if we sang him Happy Birthday he'll come back!
