Hi guys! I lurk here a lot, but don't post much. Anyways, here's my take on the reissued Black Widow. It has salt flats type wheels from a Revell Snaptite '57 Chevy, and the 6-pot Desoto Hemi from the Lil Coffin with headers from the AMT Double T. The front tires are Monogram 1/24 scale whitewalls, and the rear tires are Jo-Han, from one of the classic cars ('35 Mercedes, maybe?). The top is chopped 3 scale inches, and I scratchbuilt door panels to match the seat. The radiator ornament is a flying eyeball, scratched from a Model T Moto-Meter.

Wow, thanks for the good words, guys! Sometimes, these reissued classic kits can be even more fun than the highly detailed new stuff.

I was just researching Black Widows and came across this build - I know I'm a little late to the party but this is SO cool! Beautifully put together - you did a great job on it!
Any particular struggles with the build, that you remember?

Any particular struggles with the build, that you remember? Thanks! Wow, this is a golden oldie. The only really time-consuming part of this build was making the wheels fit the front tires. Lots of sand, fit and repeat. Other than that, it was pretty trouble-free.
