I never had one of these as a kid, and it's probably just as well (I don't have any of the regrets that would have resulted from knowing we'd blown up a collectible).

I enjoyed building it. Fairly simple. It needed some nose work. I wasn't looking forward to the pinstriping, but, I thought, "they gave me the decals, so how hard could it be?" That was before they fell apart on the sheet and I had to resort to paint and pinstripe tape (even some of the Bat logo wing tips cracked). Sunk all that under the gloss coat.

Left Batman and Robin out of this one. Hollow tipped the rocket tubes which were then stripped and Alcad'd. Thanks for lookin.

Yeah, I might have overdone the gloss coat trying to make sure the tape stayed buried. Lost the body cuts. I think it's still not fully gassed out, even after a month!
I think the next time I do one of these, I'll do some handcut pinstripes using 3M tape (which lays down better and is more flexible) and then go for a lighter satin finish.
