I’d been looking at the remainder of the Raiders Coach for a while and decided to make a hot rod stage coach sort of like the Laramie Ghost Stage. I added a partial frame from a ’32 ford and the engine block/trans from a Lil Coffin. For the rear suspension I used chrome steel springs from a computer processor (they were too cool to discard) and scratch built the rear brackets. Rear wheels are from the Raiders Coach, front wheels and all tires are from the parts box. I plan on using wooden coffee stirrers for the roof, inside floor, front drivers area and rear luggage area. I’m not sure what color the paint will be yet. I will add a couple skeletons from Bill (scaledetail), Man I love those things! Now, how can I make a ten gallon hat, holster and rifle? Any suggestions? Thanks for looking and I hope you like it so far. Dave

I don't know what it is about the old west and showrods......I grew up in So Cal around a lot of old west stuff....and sat in Boot Hill Express as a kid....so I know why I love the stuff....but it seems a lot of folks do to!! My 1/2 scale Laramie Stage Ghost.......

I've done some more work on this one. Here is the engine, I think it should be big enough to be able to haul the stage around. I added stained wooden coffee stirrers to the floor, roof and some of the sides. The seats are done to look like worn grey leather. I hope you like it. Dave Here are a couple mockups, I think the strongbox needs to be lower.

...I think the strongbox needs to be lower. Yes, I agree; if it were me I'd make the strongbox about half that size. Or leave it off entirely? Looks great otherwise, though; the coffee stirrers add a nice decrepit and weatherbeaten look.

Looks great otherwise, though; the coffee stirrers add a nice decrepit and weatherbeaten look. I cut the strongbox lower and I think it looks better now. thanks! Dave
