I have to say thanks to Craig for doing the 96 hour build off! If it was not for that, I might still be wishing to hell I could get motivated. Some other guys motivated me as much as they could and thanks for that!
It's not the highest detail or anything.....it's a freakin' box art build that I wanted to add to my collection.
If you have never built one of these, expect to be wierded out about how it goes together. I can't explain it, but this is like a puzzle! I built the re-issue and added the original wheels because the new ones kinda suck....two pc plastic tires.
Thanks so much to Greg aka vsrn for making me a set of decals! I just finished it up about 30 mins ago. It's clear coated over the decals and I opted out of polishing because it just isn't that important to me on this build. The hardest part of the build had to have been the decals. The pin stripe around the "doors" was tough. It's not perfect...but it's done and I am sooooo happy to have a new build! (pics to come at a later time in front of the box, it's packed up right now)
I changed the headlight buckets and it was kinda difficult to get them lined up right, but if I had more time I could have pinned them or something. I foiled the splash guard also....both those were chrome on the box, but not in the kit parts.
