Not many people know this, but Wild Bill Cushenbery is the man responsible for building the 1966 Batmobile. That's right! George Barris took the designs from Greenway's production designer Eddie Graves, tweaked them a little and finalised the design. The Lincoln Futura was then sent down the street to the Cushenbery shop for the metal mods. Here's a shot of the car being worked on at that shop.

Cool picture Jacen ! I've heard that story but never have seen the pic . I can appreciate Barris' contribution to the history of customs , but it is a shame that a lot of people don't get the credit they deserve !

I know right? Heck, I just found out recently that Tom Daniels is the man behind the Munster's cars!
