Yes Mr Ohrberg put his signature on anything that passed through his hands, whether he built it or not. Snakepit, pink panther, bathtub, sand draggin, definitely not his, maybe a couple others mislabeled as well.

I just don't get it myself. Guys like Oheberg and Barris have enough of a portfolio to impress people with. It seems to me it does thier reputation more harm than good. They have to know that these cars are all well documented in thier history and that people will look down on them for litteraly stealing credit. Barris has the same issue where he takes credit for cars he had absolutely zero to do with simply because he now owns it. When my book gets published alot of folks will be shocked to find out Barris neither designed or built the Batmobile. Stay tuned!Yes Mr Ohrberg put his signature on anything that passed through his hands, whether he built it or not. Snakepit, pink panther, bathtub, sand draggin, definitely not his, maybe a couple others mislabeled as well.

The Bathtub, Sand Draggin and Pink Panther are all Bob Reisner builds. Pink Panther was not built by Bob Reisner.....it has had many owners over the years, and repainted by them (either in 'museums' or on tour). The last I heard was over here in the UK for sale.... Joe Bailon designed it and started the build, as he got busy many people had a hand in building part of it.

And you have proof of this? I am well aware that none of these cars were built solely bt one person, however unless I'm shown positive proof I'm going to continue to go with the man who has been credited with it's build ever since it was built. Bob Reisner.

Yes I have proof in several Magazine Articles over the years, who exactly designed the vehicles and started building them. The articles explain why several body shops worked on projects when workloads wouldn't permit. Ownership of a showrod does not automatically men they built it...despite signwriting on a repaint.... Same way the 'Bob Reisner' model kit of Milk Truck, several books and articles show who did design and build it. www.ahrf.com/legends/joe-bailon/and in the new Cartech book Show Rods of the 60s and 70s, Built FOR Bob Reisner. Started by Joe Bailon, then passed around. last for sale here in the UK... Also features the Milk Truck, which has been restored.
