I finished the "Bad Medicine" show rod yesterday. I chopped it up a little because I thought the motor sat a little too far forward. So, I cut an inch out of it, then I thought the nose looked too long, so I cut another inch out of the front. I wanted it to have a dark look so I reshot all of the chrome with Alclad over black and sprayed the Alclad real thin to give it a "black chrome" look. I shot the skull & crossbones and the cow skull with Alclad too. The front wheels are from the Polar Lights funny car kit and the rears are unknown. The rear tires are Firestone Pro streets. I went a head and wired the motor, The paint is transparent purple over 'flake with black candy fogging along the edges. The top has a lace job I messed up because I used black candy instead of just black so you can only see it from certain angles. So there you go, the full story, minus the swearing! Here's the glamor shots: Here's Steve "Bones" von Anorexia, our driver:

Last ones! Also, should I glue the cow skull to the front, or leave it plain? Steve's no help, all he thinks about is food! Thanks for looking! Comment welcome!

It's quite obvious this was originally the Bad Medicine, But... The changes you have made totally change the stance, and give this build its own personality! My opinion... Adding the cow skull would take away from your accomplishments! It's perfect just he way it is! Bill

[glow=red,2,300]Great Build!!![/glow] Looks Great without the cowskull! How did you finish the skeleton driver? Thanks guys! It shall go cow skull-less!! (is that a word?!?) ira, I first painted Steve a mixture of white, yellow and brown, then I airbrushed the recessed areas a darker mixture of the same, then the highlights with transparent white, I then sealed him with flat clear followed by a wash of transparent brown that I quickly wiped off the raised areas. Really interesting, I think you are on to something, wonder what would happen if you moved the engine just a bit farther back toward the firewall with this wheelbase. Nice job!

Really interesting, I think you are on to something, wonder what would happen if you moved the engine just a bit farther back toward the firewall with this wheelbase. Nice job! In retrospect, I think the driver should go farther back also, kind of a comp coupe look. The biggest obstacle to moving the motor farther back is the seat and driver's legs vs the transmission. I had to lop off the top 1/2 off the trans as it was. Maybe on the reissue. Thanks for all the compliments. More to come!
