Fire Iron Tanker
I started with the Fire Iron I found for about $5. I added the tank from the Lil Gasser. I took the ladder rack and moved it to enclose the cab and added a scratch built bell. I removed the brass and re-coated with chrome silver. I liked the brass/chrome effect.
I built the hand crank hose reel on the back. There were no decals that came with the model so I had to make them. I’m not too happy with them as they didn’t come as I had hoped. I added some brass parts from the Paddy Wagon.
I painted it black and used a spray pearl but it looks more like metallic black. I had to search the internet to find the right font for the decals. The font is called Quentin Caps.
