[glow=red,2,300]Intakes & Thrusters...[/glow] I smoothed most of the bodywork and added the 4 Intakes on and under the hood. The holes for the Horizontal Thrusters have been cut into the Thruster Pods. Here is the 2nd Tirebird body. The front end, roof, and wheel flares have been removed. Working on making an access hatch to cover this opening next....

Nose Job for Burt! Had to cut about 1/8th inch from Burt's nose to make room in the cockpit. I also carved his hair to make it look more like the Bandits hair and added an ear & sideburn on the left side. I gave Burt a "Trim" on the back of the neck, so that he would fit the area a little better.

[glow=red,2,300]TIME TRAVEL OPTION!!![/glow] The interior plate had to be cut in half to fit into the body. The front dashboard area was cut out to fit the Instument Panel from Revells Firebird Street Machine kit. The rear area was cut out to fit this Star Wars X-Wing Fighter Part. Looks like a Time Travel Machine to me...

[glow=red,2,300]Floats In Mid Air!!![/glow] Here is how I set Up the support wire. First I located the center of the bottom of the car, then I drilled a hole there. Next I cut 3 lengths of plastic tubing, 1 to fit the Piano Wire in and 2 more larger sizes to go around it. I glued the 3 tubes together then glued the tubes over the hole. I did the same thing to the display base. Now I can use different lengths of wire to support the car, even pose it on an angle if I want to...

Got Some Paint!!! SPACE BANDIT is painted with Tamiyas Blue Mica over a Pearl Base. I added 2 inner wheels from a '59 El Camino kit for supports for the jet engines. Then I painted the rear area with Flat Black.

Ira, what seems to be your grudge against little plastic men? First you cut Cool Willy's junk in half, now poor Burt has had his brains removed from the back of his head. ;D The idea of extending the windshields is pure genius. That's quite an imagination you've got there. What glue did you use on the receivers for the wire that holds SB up?

[glow=red,2,300]NO PLASTIC MEN WERE INJURED DURING THIS BUILD!!![/glow] Thanks Dave! Although Cool Willy did get a close trim this weekend...he's cool. I used Zap-A-Gap Green Label, (Superglue) first, then I put some of Aleene's "Original TACKY GLUE, (Thick White Glue), around the base.
