Awesomeness! A very nice, understated, very well built kit / diorama with a lot of personality! Love all the little touches - the anchor, especially; but also things like the muffler's weathing...

Thank you all for your kind observations. A little bit of background. I had seen other built kits of this van at model contest venues and had to have one. A few months later one shows up at local hobby shop. I drop all other projects and dig in (sound familiar ?). As the build progresses I change the bumpers, antenna wire, front peace symbol back to VW,and put toys inside. Found a companion for the driver in thrift shop toy bin 25 cents. She gave up a lot to fit in this ride. They became North American Tourists - surfers and we all know that danger signs are there to be ignored............
