On of my Roth car builds, photos are from scans so not the best. The rear tires are from a 1/12 Chevy, to create an axle for the wheels I used 1/2 inch copper pipe and metal washers epoxied together. The engine has all the options blower, tunnel ram, dual carbs, and linkage from a tire valve. Belt is sandpaper and telephone wire for the wiring. Paints include Jo sonja acrylics, oils, enamels and chaulks. High gloss on the eyes and tongue is epoxy glue. Most of the engine has been repainted in Citadel metallics, those are upholstery grommets as velocity stacks. Mr. Gassers burnout is made out of foam packing peanuts cut and white glued together and weathered with chaulks for a smoke effect. Bare metal foil was used for the chrome and difficult on compound curves. A lot of fun making things fit. Model now resides in someone elses collection.

Absolutely beautiful paint work!
I love the use of the packing peanuts too.

I like the burnout! Great idea. This is one of those kits I find very difficult to build. I have reboxed it many times. Good job on yours!

Hello Luca, my issue with Gasser was his teeth and painting the insides of his big mouth. I cut off his teeth saved them, painted the figure and added his teeth later, made some new ones from stretched sprue. Also reinforcing the right arm inside with shaped sprue and epoxy glue helps too. Try again, you can do it !!

I'm running out of adjectives but that looks amazing. I avoided these figure kits as a kid because mine looked nothing like the box art when I was done. *sigh*
I always knew there were other uses for packing chips but who knew it was burnout material?! Very clever.
