Black Max
This is a boxstock build from my MIB stash. Only thing I changed from boxstock, instead of having the headers enter the body fenders and exit the back of them, I rerouted them to come out under the body just in front of the tires; much better, doesn’t ruin the body lines. No decals. Paint is Testor’s Dark Cherry Pearl lacquer with 3 coats of Wet Look Clear.

Very cool! I don' think i've ever seen one of these built before. One thing i did notice os that the intake manifold on the model is a lot different than the picture on the box. Very nice build!

Thats looks great. Did you put the interior in after the body was glued together?

I wondered if anyone would notice that the boxart and what's actually in the kit is different, as to the manifold and stacks.
Yes, the interior tub is inserted after the body is glued together, from underneath. It's a VERY tight fit; I had to file down the inside edges of the "fenders".
Paint on the engine is Testor's Inca Gold.

The box art does that kit no justice, though you Dave do. I really like this one a lot. ;D Fantastic job Dave.

Awesome job Dave! I rarely have seen these.
Yes..your build(actual kit) is better than the box depiction.
Thank you for building and sharing this.

I've never seen this one built either.
You did a great job!
I like the stack intakes better than the box pic.

A truly beautiful piece, Dave. Always great to see a worthy build of something that would have otherwise been left shrouded in cardboard, not inspiring anyone.
