As long as you keep the bubble I'm interested.....
This looks like an extended front end.
I may have to agree with Ira on the inline engines.

I hate to tell ya this, but you guys aren't even close. It's going to be a boat, a pickle fork tunnel hull to be exact. When I first got this idea, I was going to do a inboard speedboat. Then I thought it would look too much like the car and not have a real boat look or feel to it so I opted for an outboard. Thanks to Robriley for the find on ebay. I used to have a 36" R/C Tunnelhull with a 7.5 engine, that thing was fast and fun, so the only logical thing to do was make the Sillhoeutte a tunnel. The drive had to be shortened a 1/4". I'm up in the air about leaving the raised edges where the stock hood went. I still have to fill the indents where the exhaust was on the car. The other problem I have, I want it to be easily recognized as the car, but it looks better as a boat with the cut windshield. I think if I go with the windshield Dave will kill me.

Without the boat engine it could almost be a Jedi fighter!

It seems like forever since I did something on one of my own projects. I got the hull into two manageable pieces, filled the side indents and backed up the filled wheel openings and boxed in the cutout in the back of the body for the outboard. I had to cut a notch and fill it with a recessed panel to fit the outboard. The turn fin. It's taking shape.

Thanks guys. I was really hoping that once the hull was together, this would be a simple and easy build. It's getting more involved than I hoped, oh well, keep pushin'. I needed the outboard to tilt up quite a bit more than it does. I notched the bulkhead at back of the interior tub. Now the outboard tucks up nicely. And the reason I need the motor to tuck into the hull more. I have my fingers crossed the back glass fits.

If my mockup was good, the outboard clears the back glass of the trailer. ;D
