My wife moved our bedroom around this past weekend. Some of my kits were tucked safely away under the bed. Yesterday I FIND one of my AMT Flameout rear wheels on my bathroom sink...
I imdiately go for the box it was in and find it was probably dumped out, and pieces had been broken. Only piece I cannot find is the front tire, and one outer wheel.
Will pay or trade whatever for this piece. I know it's childish but it's turned into a big argument in my household. Hope somebody can help.
thanks, Tyler

you can get a sealed re-pop depth charger kit for cheap off e-bay.(probably $15.00 - $20.00) it's not like you'd be bastardizing a vintage kit for a wheel.
man, I'm sorry, but my wife never touches any of my model stuff.

Nice, You'd think as much arguing it's caused in the past mine wouldn't touch mine either. She thinks I'm a ten yr old boy. I tell her its my passion, and some of this stuff is rediculous to find without buying a high dollar sealed kit. Our house isn't big enough right now, and I have no were to store it. I tell her and tell her, never listens. I've bought a storage container this week. When it gets here my stuff will be put on shelves in it, and won't come back out until I have a new house or a place to build. I'll probably just buy the depth charger. Luckily the piece that was lost was ina re pop.

wow thats too bad I remember when you posted that buld back in 2010 it was very nice that kit is one of my favorite kits on the show rod list Thanks! It's stil not done. Like I said not having a set place to build it really limits my building.. I think I stil had a few little pieces to finish it. Being is that the Depth charger is the same I mayjust start over. the front axle snapped in half in the box, and I never was quite thrilled with some of my chassis on my flmae out.

I would recomend that you try to save what origional parts you can I made the mistake of using using mostly reprodution parts on a very rare kit and try to restore a end I didn't feel like the kit was as good as it could have been I would try to restore all the parts I could. By the way your kit looked very good a few months after you posted your kit I bought one of my own. It looked very bad and was a major gluebomb after many attempts to restore the kit I sent it to wolfie were he did his magic on it. Now that kit is one of the more interesting peices in my collection

The Royal Rail wheels are cycle-style spoke wheels. Not the same.
