I just don't get the whole flying eyball thing. I mean i know it was von dutch's trademark and all, but how is a flying eyeball cool? i mean, it's no rat fink and i just don't see the cool factor of a flying eyeball.

My Klown hat is off to you adding some detail to this kit... Ive looked and looked at this kit-even had it in my hands while at the LHS.. I just couldn't justify the purchase so I put it back.. I've seen many build with body mods and super nice paint but for some reason I can't put my finger on what's shying me away... The jagged edges on the roof were thinned down by another build and I think they even curled them back to make the torn roof look more realistic ... Great job on the mods and breathing some life into it with a fresh engine... The wheels help a bunch too!! Nice work..

The engine & wheels really make a difference on this cool build. Looks much better than stock. I like it!

You've done a nice job with the mods so far, looks great. I've seen some really good builds of this kit, to make it look more like the original artwork, which is actually pretty good. I like Von Franco's work, but Moebius dropped the ball (or at least the little tool-dudes in China did) on this kit. It's way too stark and primitive. I know what they were trying to do, simple kits like the Roth monsters, but it just doesn't hold a candle to those, even though they were very basic as well. Revell back then just had a knack for delivering the goods. From what I've heard, Moebius is going ahead with the "Stoned Hoods & Crooks" Willys, but haven't seen a delivery date. Von Franco had said they told him it was going into production for next year. I have this kit, but haven't attacked it yet. I had thought of bashing it with tires and rims from one of the Polar Lights snapper kits.
