I made a recessed area for the license plate! I cut a rectangle out of the trunk with a Dremel Tool & an X-acto Knife. Then I cut a piece of "L" shape plastic strip the same width as the recessed area. After glueing the "L" strip in place, I covered the sides of the "L" strip with sheet plastic.  Here is the recessed license area!  |

[glow=red,2,300]Now We've Got Some Legroom![/glow] I was looking for door panels for the DW Style Interior Plate on Willys Deal when I found this custom interior in Revell's 32 Ford Roadster. Turns out with a little cutting & fitting it fits Willys Deal real nice!  |

Yeah...Turns out the interior plate was the same shape as the 32 Ford Floorboard, so I gave it a try. Looks like the full interior fits...if I fit it in one piece at a time. [glow=red,2,300]Driver Figure!!![/glow] Your Right! The driver, "Cool Willy" has got no butt! I'll have to do something about this.... |

[glow=red,2,300]COOL WILLY GOT NO BUTT![/glow] Now that we have a seat for Willys Deal, I need to get the rest of the driver "Cool Willy" together!  I started with the Deals Wheels "Stink Ray" Drivers head and a body from a Formula One car.  I cut the body in half so I could add width to the center of the chest. I added about 5/16" width to the with strip plastic and then glued the body back together.  I cut the body in half again to change the angle of the back, so that it fits the seat better.  After removing some plastic from the middle, I glued the body back together at the new angle. |

Maybe one of those action figures with the hinged joints would work. You could put Dave's head and hands on it Good Idea! I just ordered a couple Ulrich "Mini-Men" from Ebay. Next time I'll use these guys. All the joints are sepparate so you can pose them exactly how you want. |

A Few Minor Adjustments... I needed to change the angle of the knees so I cut the backsides of the knees.  Thats better! Glued them back at better angles and added some putty. With a little shaping and sanding the body is coming together! Now for a little primer.  Here is the body, seated with the head resing in place.  Now I have to try to fit Cool Willys Big head inside the interior... |

After this coat of putty has been sanded smooth, Cool Willy will be ready for some color!  Here is Cool Willy in place on his new seat, ready to grab the steering wheel & shift gears!!!  |

[glow=red,2,300]The MINI-MEN are Here!!![/glow] I wish I had these Mini-Men when I started Cool Willys Body...  These figures can be positioned in place and then glued! All the joints are adjustable. I made this guy many years ago with a Deals Wheels Head & a Mini-Man Body.  I will be using these figures next time, for sure! |

Painting The Interior... Started with White Primer, masked it off and then sprayed on some Lime Ice. The floor is Flat Black.  A fine tip marker was used to fill the lines.  Looks like Cool Willy got a little sun over the weekend! |
