Hey Dave... This view is for you!!! Dream On, you'll be lucky to see through the windshield. Why? Cuz it'll be full of dirt thrown off of those Goodbites as Super pulls a slide job on you and leaves you in the dust ,,,,,,,,,,,,errrr, make that mud, we like a tacky track. BTW, Cool Willy's ride is looking pretty HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would be Wild, seeing you Power Sliding down the quarter mile!!!

I love this Willys !! I wouldn't have thought it started out from that kit. I've never built a deal wheels kit before. The first one i ever saw was a Firebird that Mike Turk was building. I think i need to build one, after seeing this!!

All cars should have "Willy", driving them, thanks for showing it can be done. The flames add a nice balance to the green. Great pics.

Willy and Jaws are really cool!
I take it with Willy's grey hair he has lots of experience in driving that awesome car?
I think Mysterion will get a run for his money.

[glow=red,2,300]Checking out the Fit![/glow] Cool Willy and Jaws fit right in there! The Revell 32 Ford Interior required very little mods to fit the Willys. Here it is in place, even had room for Willys big head...

What, no smokes rolled up in the sleeve of that tee? Oh wait, that's right, he isn't a rat rod poserboy. Willy is the real deal!
Do we have any time slips yet? It sure looks fast.
Looking good.
I think a set of wheelie bars would look good on this ride.

Working on the Header Conversion... This header came from a Groovy Grader kit. I added braces to hold the pipes together, when I cut them off. I opened up the ends of the pipes with a Dremel Tool. Next I cut off the excess pipes, so tht they fit flush with the chassis plate.

The System... The Exhaust System starts with Exhaust Pipes from the 16th scale Cobra. I cut down the pipes to reduce the height and then cut off the ends to fit up next to the axle. Glued them in place. Next I glued the pipes on the rear of the chassis plate. They exit through a slot in the body... Done!

Ira: in case my e-mail doesn't get to you ... I should be casting up some of those custom tire inserts, sometime on Friday. I did a photo update, over in the OT (off-topic) section, to show the last few day's (molding) work... but barring unforeseens, should be mailing copies soon.

Are you trying to tell us, this thing is so fast that the tires have to be waiting for you in the future cuz they can't keep up with the car? Now that's fast,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well, for a car on asphalt that's fast.

Whoa, Whoa Whoa, hold on there. Are you trying to tell us, this thing is so fast that the tires have to be waiting for you in the future cuz they can't keep up with the car? Ha! Hilarious stuff there, sir! While the answer is probably "no," I know who I'm gonna call to be my Press Agent, the next time I miss a deadline! In other words: it's my fault. I couldn't get the inserts to Ira in time for this coming (Jan 31st) deadline ... but now I've got eight of the individual resin inserts cast up, for use on some of Ira's future DW projects... as he sees fit to play with them, that is. (Anyone that can take two kits with bad tires, and make a time / space travel machine out of those kits, ain't all that predictable! And to have done it in less than a handful of days ... geez! Wowsers Deluxe!) Current plan is: I'm gonna mail the existing inserts, to Mr. Ira, early this coming week; and I'm sure Ira and I will keep in touch, as time goes on, on the subject of "front tire" inserts. I'm hoping to get a better feel for what I might need to change, later, with the rear ones, before I do much work on the masters for the front set. (That and I'm about out of resin. Gotta put more on order, soon!)

[glow=red,2,300]Got 'em Tucked in Real Nice!!![/glow] The goal was to get most of the tires tread inside the wheel wells letting just a little stick out past the fenders. That was a little tricky after the interior was installed...but we did it! Here a a close up on one of those Futuristic DW Tires! They don't need air & they never go flat!Look, I cut a huge hole in the New Tire no problem, its OK! Actually, I cut slices in all 4 tires to clear the interior, & they all still work just fine...Amazing Tires!!! Funny, they look just like the regular DW Tires... Next...the Wheels!
