Some color for the body and wings. The white is Ace Hardware enamel, the orange is One Shot. I should have added a little yellow to the orange, but it is what it is. Round 1, Round 2,

Skins are digital paintjobs used for Pc and console games. What you do is export the files of the game to a paint program, edit them and pack back into the game. Then you can drive a car with a paintscheme you designed rather than what the game gives you.
I could leaf a whole body pretty easily, it's the small shapes of the lettering and graphics that are so much harder than when I was younger.
Do you have better pics of that model? I didn't see it on your site.

A mock up to see how poorly everything lines up. I guess it's not too bad, some touch ups are definitely needed though, or some lettering to hide the bad spots. I need to find a way to hold the parts stable while I paint them, holding them in one hand while painting with the other is pretty hard when your having an off day. I hope the sideboards are dry enough to mask so I can spray the rest of the top wing.

That'd be a heartbreaker for either car!!! There was a Funfdecker in the background when I was shooting the Drudge Vapor WIP shots. 95% done.... a fumble... then 90% undone I guess I'll work on rebuilding it with fewer wings.

It's time for some details. First up, the beadlocks needed bolt heads, it's a minor detail, but viewed at the right angle has a lot of impact.

The attention to detail on this model is great Dave. I wasn't sure about it a first I will admit, but I'm really lik'n it now. Thanks, I'm glad you stuck with me. The numbers, it's do or die, make or break. The numbers are 22 karat gold. First step after layout, putting on the Gold Size, it's basically a clear glue for the gold leaf. Once the size sets to the proper tack apply the gold., then brush off the excess gold. The gold should only stick where the size is, as I'm working with fresh enamels, they're grabbing the gold in spots. Hopefully I can pull it off with tape. I use a soft make up brush to remove the excess gold. This is what you are left with. Now to give it the brilliance of reflections. You spin the gold with velvet. I had to make a tiny spinner from some velvet and 1/8" rod. What a difference. You can see my spinner in this pic.

[glow=red,2,300]WOW!!![/glow] Know anybody that can do some pinstripping a Green Willys? One of my very few spelling pet peeves, it's pinstriping. And to answer, probably. The rock screen is done and waiting for the paint to dry. Thanks for the screen Charlie. The belly pan is installed.

Supersonicus, called the team in for the weekend to get this car done in time. The lettering guy is still working on the top wing as we speak. He redid the front wing, he claimed it wasn't up to snuff. The interior platform is in, along with the steering wheel. The rest of the body panels should be on by the end of the day. The rock screen needed to be cut down, it fit's like a glove now and the paint is drying. The headers are blued, my first attempt at it. We need to redo the Alclad in the bumpers and rubrails, it's worn off and I barely handled them.
