I've never had any problems painting over enamels with it.

Sorry Done .. I was taught never to shoot lacquer over enamel ... Alclad recommends shooting there "lacquer" over enamel but I still use lacquer with lacquer .. ;D I'm more worried about the long term effects as I generally use automotive paint products from HOK or lacquer base and try to use what THEY recommend for compatibility purposes.. very little enamel around here ... ;D Hey, if it works I say go for it ..
