The Stingeree was taunting me. Wife is out of town for 4 days, I thought I could get it done. Then I opened the box and found the body consisted of 5 sections that vaguely fit together. Day One: gluing, filing, sanding, gluing, filing, sanding, etc Day 2; After a bath in Testors green lacquer and a few coats of gloss enamel. A rare occasion of getting it good enough in only one attempt: Days 2 and 3: Managed to get the persnickety frame together and painted along with the motor, various mixes of black, silver, copper, etc. Notice I also stripped some of the chrome from the cross members. Man they put a good layer of chorme on those parts: I have also worked on the rolling stock, axles and other parts of the engine. I am not going to get it done this weekend.

Been there, done that ! These kits are a bit of a chore to be sure, and definetely not a kit that can be built in an afternoon . (probably why no kid built ones survived ) The lousy front end assembly has given me fits on each one of these kits I've built. Yours is looking great, I really like that green ! P.S. the decals are junk in these reissues , they just fall apart in the water .

Thanks for the words of encouragement and warnings about the decals although they do look interesting. Don I saw a kid driving a Demon like yours yesterday-it was yellow, black stripes and a well worn pinstriped logo on the rear flank that said "Possessed." Made me grin.

You know I wanted a Demon when I was a kid, and this is the closest I ever got to one. Actually, I bought this when it was five years old, its hard to believe the car will be 40 years old next year !
