Gotcha a 'Black Beard's Tub', huh? As silly as some of those were, I liked them!

Does yours have the figures? And if it does, can I borrow them to cast copies? Mine is missing the figs.

Deserted Island no longer!! I was able to get some work done on this one. It's not the showrod part of the kit, but I did up the set with Roger and Lorelei first, so that they wouldn't be rushed as an afterthought. Several coats of overspray for the dune, drybrushing for the palm, and healthy, glowing tan (ah, youth) and pearls for the couple. The chassis and motor went together rather easily. The main parts are just mocked together for the pic. The body, however, has been a bit of a slowdown. Mostly because I dropped it right before the second coat of color. It's a four-piece unit and broke badly. Old Aurora plastic must be a bit hard and brittle (at least this metalflake stuff is), so the breaks were not at the glue points. You can see in the body pic where I've done some reinforcement. The decals did not age well. Pretty much a baggie of decal puzzle chips, so I'll have to print something new.

A Black-beards Tub... excellent! Your work on the desert island looks great, and in the considerably smaller 1/32 scale these things are it's even more impressive. These little old Aurora kits were pretty cool. Gerry G

Thanks for the scan. Should have asked around before I went and designed/burned something new. I'll hang on to it tho, for a future project.
