The Timber TruckArtwork by Dawie Coetzee, also a CC member. From the beginning I loved Dawies fantastic concepts, I saw it on Bill Jenkins, Big Red Wolf site, so long ago... This one here, especially. I discussed this with the artist himself, and got the green light to build it... Well, since then, about three years have passed, and I finally started now... I does not take long, what will be the appropriate donor to begin: I cut off the unnecessary parts, and placed the rear axle, new, directly into the frame... For those of you who now think, that is an uncomfortable, jumping and bumping ride, hey, it's a Showrod... It goes on with the base plate...

It goes on... Well, I do not build a exact replica, and will take what fits about, what i found and the rest I must carve anyway... The front axle, goes a little further to Front, these are the new holders... I believe that this axle is from the TD Fast Buck kit. At the moment it fits... The first carved parts... This is the back wall, or the backrest... This is the wooden bench... ... well, it needs a bit of color...

Thank`s Ira! It goes on... This kit here, I purchased to build it... ... but, when I opened the box, I was disappointed about the size of the model... (general Zingers) So they walked back on the shelf... Well, yes you can use the engines! ;D ... and this one is perfect for my project...

Thank you for the kind words! It goes on... Ok, so, you can use these engines... ... but you have to spice it up a little bit... ... especially this parts here... ... the interconnected pulleys are a no go... ... and if I'm at it, I make all three new, with proper spacing and guides for the belt, and, in aluminum...

... and now, the whole thing looks so... Next step... This is the belt tensioner... ... here you can see, that it is too long, that means, the tension wheel is too high... ... I have cut off the wheel... ... so I can bring it in better position... ... the wheel is now on the tensioner, but not yet firmly to the engine, I have to deburr it yet... Hope, you like it.

And it goes on, with small steps... This is a belt from an old printer... ... I cut a piece of it... ... and installed it on the engine...

After a failed attempt to bend the roof of a PS plate, I decided for another option... This plexiglass tube lying around for some time, and has, coincidentally, the desired diameter... ... i cut out of it, this part here... ... sanded the desired radius... ... and carved a few lines, to indicate the wooden boards...

And, it goes on... The recesses for the exhaust pipes are in the roof... This was the first attempt to put together the exhaust pipes... Aluminum rod, 10mm in diameter... ... I've turned these parts... This is a thin-walled stainless steel tube, 3 mm in diameter... ... 8 equal pieces... ... these are parts for one exhaust pipe... I've made no picture of the compilation, because I did not like the whole thing...

Yes, that's why, my projects take so long... These are the new turned and edited aluminum parts, for one exhaust... These are all necessary parts... ... for this part here, it's just put together, still not fixed... ... and yes, there are now two of them... Now I am satisfied with the look, hope, you like it.

Thank`s! Sometimes, Murphy is everywhere... and it's easy to be wrong... This is the chassis, bottom... I initially ignored the dimension X, I thought, this is quite enough space for the chainsaw... ... yes, there is enough space, from the edge of the cabin, to the center of the rear axle! And where is the rear wheel with his, diameter? X minus the radius of the rear wheel = There is not enough space... Well, it can be saved... I sawed it here: ... and with a very sharp, new scalpel knife, carefully cut the rest of the board... ... and this is the new position:
