Hot off the workbench (okay, fresh off the kitchen table)... I finally got around to building one of these.
As with most of the Roth rods, some patience is required to assemble the frame, but it's always worth the effort Though usually painted a magenta, I mixed something between that and the deep creamsicle I'd seen, and ended up with a pearl fiery red... but I like it. ;D ... six thin coats of lacquer on top. I attempted to leave the trunk and bubble operational, but the fit was too tight with paint, and it ended up in the purple pond. They're fixed in place now. Also opted not to use the pink headlight lenses. I laid in a silver base for a clear epoxy version, but when I mixed the epoxy, I got a happy accident - cloudy clear.
Thanks for lookin!

Thanks, Guys. I really like having this one on the shelf!
Just for fun, I thought I'd test out what it might have looked like if I had taken the color closer to one of the other variations I'd seen out there. ;D
Whadya think?

Since you have asked for color choice, my vote goes for the top right / magenta. I like the contrast is my reason. Cheers Eh!
