So here's the 65 impala that i've been working on. after 3 different paint jobs, this is what i came up with. yes, I painted it and stripped it 2 times. the color is testors inca gold laquer, with transparent orange over it, and then 2 coats of clear laquer. I have lots of body work in this one, and a ton of parts from my parts box. the headers are from the spirit of 57, 57 chevy, the blower and scoop are from my parts box. the injector is from a tony nancy dragster, and the valve covers are from my parts box. the blower drive and belt is from the usa 1 monster truck. The radiator and master cylinder are from a newer corvette. wheels and tires from my parts box, and the front axle is from a 53 chevy panel truck kit. the roll cage is from a hurst hairy olds, and the rest of the interior is stock, painted semi gloss black with a grey flocked floor. The rear of the chassis has been modified for the altered wheel base, and i removed the front inner fenders. The back seat had to be removed, and i fabricated the entire rear of the interior. I cut the rear 1/4 panels off the body and moved them forward about 1/2 inch from stock. this kit didn't come eith any chrome parts so I had to paint the grill, bumpers, door handles and windshield wipers. I used krylon nickle to paint those parts. i need a set of tail light lenses for this car if anyone has a set. I beleive it's a monogram kit, but I'm not positive.

I love it ! A big ol' Chevy ready to kick but ! Great job on this one and a great paint job too ! How did you paint the scripts so cleanly ? I always have trouble with those things . I think I have an old '65 glue bomb I can steal the taillights from , I'll let you know . BOB .

The window trim was done with a silver sharpie marker.
