The ChevMerc Coupe - Update Paint!!

After building ole’ Rosy from the Merc and the Chevy SSR P/U, I had the rear of the Merc and the front of the SSR left over…..and what do you know! They look pretty cool together!






I added a small width to the rear and glued it together.





I cut out the rear fenders and created some that were close to the front fenders. I also continued the body ridge from the top of the doors to the trunk to make it more ascetically pleasing.









I filled in the tail light holes and re-drilled for the new ones. These will be sunken points. Then I added molded in headrests and this seems to work.

Great work, I must admit, it seamed a little awkward to look at at first, but as you added more and more detail to it, it has really turned out to be a beautiful piece

She's got color now!

I painted it with my new airbrush using a metallic blue nail polish. now she's ready for clear coat. This weekend I will be working on the interior and chassis.
