Ok after looking at some online photos of the Olds motor I thought I'd give this a try and I have one done and only seven more to go!! Didn't think I would be able to do it, but since I've had my new eyeglasses and can see what I'm doing that first one was pretty easy to do!! Got the other seven holes drilled and now just need to do the other seven holes in the heads, I haven't seen anyone do this yet? I will be using some gray wire and just used that light blue to see how it would look...

I haven't done very much on my Olds over the last week or so and had to hoped to spend a lot of time on it yesterday, but no I had the fun of working on my 03 Neon!!! And it looks like I'll be working some more on it today!!! But here is what I have been able to get done with the Oldsmobile!!! Getting the body ready for paint. And some stuff I've been able to work on. And how it sets on my work bench right now.

Due to a back problem over the weekend I was not able to get my '50 Olds done in time for the meeting and in fact I wasn't able to make it to the meeting. So here is how my build sets at this time. I had a problem with the paint on the hood and had to strip it. I got in a hurry and rushed it. Roof before I polished it.

I haven't done very much on this build since my last update. This back problem is not fun at all!!!!! I did get it up on it's wheels to see how it sits. I also started working on the spark plug wires and I think they are going to look awesome when I'm done. I thought I had everything painted black and ready for some alclad chrome, but then I found I forgot to paint the headlights!!!

One of these days I'll get this Oldsmobile finished!!! I wasn't real happy with the way the base coat came out on the bumpers so those will have to be stripped before I can AlClad them. I have most of the motor done and just need to do a little more detailing on it. I have also started putting some BMF on the body and it's starting looking pretty damn nice.

wow nice build so far. engine looks amazing! love the 2-tone paint. Great looking kit too, I have the 48 Ford Custom Special Edition in the stash, really nice kit. I love that they come with factory whitewalls. That's rare. Can't wait to build it.

Thanks guys!!! I'm waiting on a replacement from Revell, I some how lost the rear trailing arm? And I had the body glued to the chassis and then the right side vent window came out on me and I had to take it apart. So I put in aside for now and will get back to work on it when the part comes in.
