THE WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED!The Attempt Body was from a built up kit from Ebay. The Windshield was cracked, so I glued it in and started sanding... Added a little Squadron Putty... After a little more Sanding and some Primer, here is the new Windshield compared to the original! I will mask the windshield area and spray it Gloss Black. Here is a Mock-Up on the body. More Coming...

DETAILING THE INTERIOR!
I assembled the interior of the Transporter so I could solve some "Fitting Problems with the body before painting it. I had to modify the front section of the frame, it was an easy fix! Then I sprayed the Corvette Indy Interior with Tamiya Mica Red. I applied Testors Dullcoat over the Mica Red. I added Chrome Bare Metal Foil to the sides of the interior. Then I applied The Detailer over the foil... More Coming...

MORE DETAILS...I modified the front end a little so that I could replace the plastic axle with a steel axle. I installed the plastic tube to hold the steel axle. I painted a few areas in flat black, added some more Bare Metal Foil and applied The Detailer to the seats. Here are the finished seats after another coat of Dullcoat and some more black details. More Coming...

TRANSPORTER GOT COLOR!I sprayed a few coats of Testors Diamond Dust on the Transport. Then I turned the Transport up-side-down and sprayed Testors Star Spangled Blue, from underneath. This method avoids most of the over spray on the top of the body. I masked off the body and sprayed the Dashboard with Tamiya Mica Red to match the interior. More Coming...

INTERIOR INSTALLED!
When I did my final fitting for the Interior and front Underbody, I found I needed to make a few alterations. The Underbody hung down too low in the back, so I bent it to fit in place. I found a new way to mount Interiors and other large parts... Here is the Interior in place. Minor modifications were needed to get a tight fit. Once I got the Interior with Underbody in place, I used Zap-A-Gap, Green Label CA Glue, and applied it with a toothpick. I did the area behind the seats first then I put a couple drops where the Underbody touched the body. I did this in 4 spots and the Interior with attached Underbody are both installed in minutes. I use the Formula 560 like a filler or putty. Using a toothpick I put Formula 560 in the gaps between the dashboard seams. It dries clear and makes the seam less visible. Here is the Front Underbody in place... More Coming...

GLASS & CHROME!I installed The Rear Underbody along with 3 pairs of Diamond 20's Wheels & Tires and the Silhouette Exhaust Pipes! I had to Modify the rear of the Bubble Top so it would fit. I used Formula 560 White Glue to glue the Bubble Top in place and the bottle to hold it flat while it dries. Here is the Top in place! The next photos of the USA-1 Transporter will be the Finished Photos, it is Done!!! More Coming...

TIRE SLICING!The USA-1 Racer needs Tires! So I carefully Slice a section of tire with a single-edge razor blade. Then I Slice 4 more Good Sections. Here is the Inside View. I tried to cut them straight but cut all of the Tires on an angle. I had to go back and Slice a little more until I got 4 Tires even. After a little more Slicing and Sanding here they are! I glued the Tire Sections to the USA-1 Racer's Underbody with Zap-A-Gap Glue. Well that about does it. I have to do a little touch up here and there and finish a few details and the USA-1 Vette LSR Team is Finished. The next photos you see will be of the Finished USA-1 Transport and Racer! Almost Finished...

I would have never thought of cutting the tires down. I would have had been trying to put the complete wheel and tire in there with axles and such.
