Unusual looking model . I've almost bought it a couple of times but I was never sure what to do with it !

Perhaps it's my imagination, but I seem to remember this thing having six wheels back in the day. Love your build-up!

The six wheeled MoonScope was the original release which came out in 1971. There are several major differences between this RC2 reissue and the original. The big changes in the kit were made when the Moon Scope was reissued in 1976 as, " the Alien, Space 1999", which btw the Alien kit is being reissued this coming November.
Already having the original MPC kit on my display shelf and the RC2 reissue beside it I'm very excited about being able to finally build the Alien version. This kit was released only three times in it's history and each release built a very different model.
