I don't mean to brag, wait, yes I do! On page 6 my name is listed as a contributor and on page 77 lower right is the picture I contributed!
I got mine in the mail today. I sat down with the intention of quickly cruising through it and getting back to it. That was 1 1/2 hours ago! Great book!

Guys: It was inevitable that some of your favorites would be left out of the book - there were only so many pages! My apologies to anyone who felt their favorite show rod was slighted. Several of my own personal favorites bit the dust as well - my editor is a cruel sadist, yet still somehow lovable and cuddly.
That book is done now and there's no going back (except to correct some annoying layout glitches, if/when it goes to a second printing). But in the course of writing it, I developed a nasty case of scale rodding fever. And I'm not here looking for a cure...

I haven't been able to pin down a month of release for Ala Kart or the X-R6. They apparently both came out in '63, but which one was first??? Or was there another show rod model that predated both of them? Just curious. I'm researching, but not finding any answers yet...

Got my copy the other day! Scotty, thanks for setting the record straight on who REALLY designed the Munsters Koach, and Dragula!!!! That person is Tom Daniel, not George Barris!!!! I think Tom Got Majorly hosed in not getting any credit at the time these two showrods were making the rounds! Just my 2 cents USD!!!!Todd

Mine arrived today. Woo-hoo!
This is going to be a fun read.
And I already like all the thrown-in bits of insights and interviews. Nicely done. Makes one want to hop here and there all over the book and then back again.

Addendum:
My wife grabbed it, flicked through it , commented on how she liked the vintage girls with the cars and then said: "So why don't WE have a Popcorn Wagon?"
Sounds like I've gotten my government's permission to buy this one...

I picked one up off Amazon this week, and this is a very nice book!! I'm especially glad that Scotty used a lot of model box pics from Dave's Show Rod Rally, and tied in the models with the cars.......Nice touch Scotty!!!
